If you like playing close to the net and taking those quick wrist shots and one timers, the CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D might just be the stick for you! The Trigger 3D is the elite level stick in the Ribcor line. The shaft geometry was designed with the help of some of the best Women’s hockey players, and a cross section of youth players. The result was an intermediate style with rounded corners and concave sides which provides a more controlled and comfortable feel. The X-FLOW Shaft construction removes excess resin during the molding process, improving consistency, overall durability, and reducing weight making it 3 to 4 grams lighter than the previous Trigger stick.
The durability and light weight of the stick is also thanks to the Sigmatex Carbon Fiber, one of the leading 18k carbons on the market right now. The high tension weaving process makes it extremely strong and increases the life span of the stick.
Moving down to the lower third we have one of the key features of the Ribcor line, the PMT Kick Point, or Pop Matrix Technology. The traditional PMT design has been enhanced for the Trigger 3D to maximize the stick flex and release time on those quick but powerful shots. The spear shaft design allows for a more gradual and efficient energy transfer, and the concave taper combined with the softened handle makes it really easy to flex the stick.
Last but definitely not least, the Ascent Blade 3 is super light weight with a tactile grip surface to give you a better feel for the puck with or without tape, and it also helps your tape stick better. The C6 Carbon Weave and the Dual Bridge system increases torsional stiffness and reinforces the edges of the blade from chipping and cracking. The overall design is a soft heel with a dampened blade and stiff toe. The Ribcor line is made for players who like to dangle and take quick shots close to the net, so the soft heel and dampened blade make it easier to cradle and control the puck, while the stiff toe section is perfect for when you want that quick release.
If you’re the type of player who makes quick decisions on the ice and loves a stick with a low kick point, the Trigger 3D might just be the twig for you.
Please note P40 and P46 is not available for 70 Flex.
